On April 25, 2009, we'll be launching the inaugural "Crosswords LA Tournament." It's a very early planning stage as yet, but ... puzzles have been promised (by Will Shortz), a beautiful event room has been booked (on the Loyola Marymount University campus), and an incredibly basic website has been posted (
www.crosswordswest.com). Please consider signing up on that site if you have any interest in getting further info. I'll keep people posted as I make progress in developing the tourney further. There will be prizes. There will be a lunch (probably on a bluff near the event room, overlooking the Pacific Ocean). All proceeds will go to CHARITY. The event is designed to be fun (albeit competitive) and sociable.
